I was the fourth hire at Shaper, since then I helped the company launch a successful crowdfunding campaign, deliver its first product, and grow to roughly 25 employees. As Design Lead at Shaper it was my role was to develop the branding, industrial design, website design, and oversee the on-tool UI/UX development, and marketing. Origin is the world's first handheld CNC machine. During my time as the Design Lead for Shaper I helped bring Origin from an early prototype to the consumer grade product it is today. The design principles for the design of Origin were: Friendly Our tool should invite its users to engage with it. Simple Our tool should be intuitive, both physically and digitally.
