Halo Sport

I was thrilled when Dr. Daniel Chao and Brett Wingeheier of Halo Neuroscience reached out to me to design their first product, Halo Sport. Halo Sport is a set of headphones with neuro-primers which allow both athletes and musicians to optimize their training sessions by bringing the brain into a state of elasticity. The guys at Halo did not want their product to look like a medical device. They wanted it to fit into the environment that it was being used in, ie the gym, the field, or the studio. We worked together to develop the style and form that emphasized the capability of the product, while still being discreet. In order for the neuro-primers (electrodes that send pulses to your brain) to work, they needed to make contact with skin, hence the headphone design. The challenge of fit was solved with the design of an inner bridge that flexes separately from the outer cans. Learn more about my design process of Halo Sport here. To learn more about Halo Neuro go here.
